Reminders
It is a good idea to include announcements of assignment due dates and other course deliverables. Also, keep in mind that you can add a banner to your Blackboard course and it will appear above the announcement area of the course.

Announcements
You may post an Announcement to your students from within Blackboard that will appear on the default start page for the course. When your students login and click on your course title from their Course List page, they will see whatever Announcements you have posted for that date. They optionally may click to view the last seven days, last month, etc.
Within an Announcement, you may also provide a link to a page internal to the same course. So, for example, you are giving a quiz through Blackboard today, you might post an Announcement that includes a direct link to your quizzes page. Announcements is a way to post less than urgent messages that are relevant in the context of your students' experience in your course in Blackboard.
