Why Bother?

So, why bother using the Blackboard Content System?

The Blackboard Content System interfaces with your courses in Blackboard allowing you to store, share, reuse and maintain your course materials.

Have you ever made changes to your syllabus during the semester or any other file for that matter? Yes, of course, who hasn’t! Currently in your Blackboard courses, you need to remove the existing file and re-upload the new version of the file. With the Blackboard Content System, you will no longer need to upload the same file to several different sections. You would simply link from your course to the file in the Content System. This way if you modify, for example, the syllabus file in the Content System, the updates in the file can be reflected automatically in all the courses without having to go into each course and modify each file.

And there is more…. So, go on the Blackboard Content System tour. Click Add Item and Link to Your Course to get started.

Please Note: Currently, you must attend a workshop to gain access to the Content System. Please check out the CITL workshop schedule and sign up for a workshop, or set up an appointment for training by calling the ITL 202-994-0485.
