The GW Blackboard Tour: Keeping a Gradebook

Tour Stop 4. Viewing Test & Survey Results

The Blackboard Gradebook allows you to view the Test (or Survey) results as an aggregate for the whole class. You can review the percentages of the answers this way and decide what to change for next time, or get a true sense of the question difficulty.

You can set up surveys in Blackboard to gauge what students are learning and if they are learning what you think they are supposed to be learning! Reviewing the survey results in the gradebook allows you to identify common issues that students may be having with the content etc. Note that surveys are anonymous.

This kind of input is vital in distance education courses in order to be able to clarify issues that students may be having – incorporate surveys and other tools in Blackboard to help you stay on top of how and what students are learning from your course).
