Syllabus Creation Guide: Title Page

The first and most important step in the syllabus creation process is the Title Page. Remember that the syllabus is your first communication with your students and it should be as thorough as possible. Students will refer to it throughout the semester. Consider carefully what to include and what to excule. On your syllabus Title page consider including the following:

  • Course title/number/section
  • Class days and times
  • Class location
  • Semester and year course is being taught
  • Course designation (if applicable) such as Honors, WID etc.
