Creating a storyboard

Next you should create a storyboard, basically a drawing, that shows what the general look of pages in your web site will be. Your storyboard should include information on:

  • Navigation - Where are the navigation buttons/ links? Are they easy to see? Are they consistantly place (in the same place on every page)?
  • Layout - Does all important information fit on the screen without scrolling? Is the most important information in the center of the screen? Is there plenty of 'white space'?
  • Colors - Are the colors appropriate for color blind users? Is there high contrast between the foreground and background colors?
  • Font - Did you choose a san serif font?
  • Images - Do all images contribute meaningfully to the page?
  • General - Is the page easy to read? Is the text short and to the point? Is contact information included? Did you include a last updated date?
